Senior UX Designer (Focus on Research)

About the role

DEPT is looking for a Senior UX Designer focused on research in Skopje. As a User Researcher, you help product teams make confident, customer-centred decisions by uncovering real user needs, motivations, behaviours and opportunities. You will work at the core of one of the company's key client teams, from exploring the adoption of AI technologies to supporting journey-driven product thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research, from exploratory discovery work to usability tests and concept validations.
• Frame research questions and help teams explore problem spaces before jumping into solutions.
• Analyse results, document insights and share them so they support product and design decisions.
• Work closely with designers, product managers and developers in a cross-functional team.
• Help develop research standards and ways of working that scale across teams.
• Advocate for a journey-driven, evidence-based approach to product development and keep evolving methods and tools.

Required profile

• Over 5 years of experience in user research, ideally at an agency and in agile, product-focused environments.
• Talent for making research results easy to understand and act on for designers, product managers and stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and confidence in facilitating sessions and speaking with users.
• English working proficiency; German is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Running and analysing studies such as usability tests, interviews and concept validations.
• Familiarity with journey mapping and experience frameworks.
• Staying up to date with emerging tools, methods and technologies.
