GCP Technical Team Leader with French

About the role

In partnership with a major French banking group, we are building a new team in Bulgaria and North Macedonia and are looking for a GCP Technical Team Leader who is fluent in French. You will lead and mentor a group of cloud, DevOps and software engineers while designing, building and operating secure, scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a multidisciplinary team, conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback and drive career development.
• Plan and organise work, set priorities, ensure timely delivery and maintain high quality standards.
• Design, build and evolve secure, cost‑efficient infrastructure on GCP, enforcing architectural standards and best practices.
• Stay hands‑on with IaC (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containerised workloads and platform automation.
• Own reliability, observability, security and cost optimisation of the platform, acting as the first escalation point for technical issues.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps or backend engineering, with at least 2 years leading a technical team.
• Fluent French (minimum B2/C1) and good English for internal communication.
• Proven ability to design and operate production‑grade Google Cloud environments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform services: GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC networking.
• Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• CI/CD tools: Cloud Build, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Monitoring and observability: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Scripting/programming: Python, Go, Bash.
