Senior Software Developer (Java/C/Golang)

About the role

Join our innovative Product Development Center, an international team tackling real‑world challenges in email security. As a senior software developer you will help design, build and improve backend services that protect more than 1.4 billion mailboxes, while collaborating with colleagues across Spain, Canada, France, Germany and Argentina. The position is full‑time hybrid and based in Skopje.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and features within a microservices architecture.
• Take technical ownership of applications and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
• Guide and support developers, providing technical direction and mentorship.
• Promote engineering best practices, improve performance, scalability, security and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with international teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Foster a collaborative engineering culture with knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Several years of professional backend development experience with technical leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
• Strong experience with microservice architectures and REST APIs.
• Comfortable developing and operating containerised applications using Docker.
• Knowledge of Golang or solid background in Java or C and a desire to deepen Go expertise.
• Daily practice of Continuous Integration and Deployment; comfortable with scripting languages such as Python.
• Proven ability to guide developers, give technical feedback and support their growth.
• Confident contributor to architectural discussions and constructive challenger of technical solutions.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
