Airline Claims Specialist (Remote)

About the role

AirAdvisor is looking for a remote Airline Claims Specialist to manage end‑to‑end compensation claims for flight delays, cancellations, missed connections and baggage issues. You will work with airlines, aviation authorities and clients to ensure passengers receive the compensation they are entitled to.

Key responsibilities

• Submit and follow up compensation claims through airline portals and written correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
• Communicate with clients via email, providing updates, setting expectations and handling inquiries throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Escalate complex cases to national aviation authorities (e.g., CAA, DGAC, Luftfahrtbundesamt) when regulatory intervention is required.
• Apply EU Regulation 261/2004, UK261 and the Montreal Convention to assess eligibility and maintain compliance.
• Maintain detailed case records and coordinate feedback between airlines, clients, lawyers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, self‑directed and motivated to help passengers navigate complex situations.
• Strong written communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and managing time with tracking tools.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to handle a varied caseload without compromising quality.
