BHPH Loan Collections Specialist (Hybrid, Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated BHPH Loan Collections Specialist to join a fast‑paced U.S. automotive dealership. This hybrid, full‑time freelance position works on American hours and involves extensive phone contact with U.S. customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Buy‑Here‑Pay‑Here vehicle loan accounts.
• Contact customers via phone, text, email and approved channels to collect current and past‑due payments.
• Process payments, follow up on declined attempts, and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Monitor promises to pay, handle financial hardship cases, and provide appropriate solutions.
• Document all interactions accurately in the dealership management system.
• Skip‑trace customers when contact information changes.
• Coordinate with sales, finance, repossession vendors, impound lots, repair shops and other third parties.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly collection targets while maintaining professional customer service.

Required profile

• Fluent, professional English that is clear to U.S. customers.
• Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls back‑to‑back.
• Strong negotiation skills with empathy and firmness.
• Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and accountable for results.
