Business & Contracts Manager

About the role

The Business & Contracts Manager leads multiple support functions on a large engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role provides commercial oversight, strategic advice and operational direction across document control, finance, project controls, HR, procurement, camp facilities and IT.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight to all commercial activities ensuring compliance with Bechtel, Enka and other governance frameworks.
• Direct functional teams in Document Control, Finance & Accounting, Project Controls, Human Resources, Procurement & Sub‑contract Management, Camp & Facilities and IS&T.
• Oversee implementation of Project Control systems and monitor cost‑trend programs, change control and documentation governance.
• Assess staffing needs, coach project team members and ensure technical competence across departments.
• Coordinate business‑case studies, identify contract risks and recommend mitigation actions to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the EPC industry.
• Proven commercial and contractual leadership, including contract formulation, negotiation and risk mitigation.
• Experience working within joint‑venture, alliance or consortium structures.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
