About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead Slice’s DevEx team, driving reliability, security, and operational excellence across our internal developer platform.
Key responsibilities
- Own developer and business outcomes, measuring success by deployment velocity, system reliability, platform adoption, and developer productivity.
- Guide architecture and technical strategy for the internal developer platform, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure.
- Build a high‑performing team, providing context, clear decision boundaries, and ownership to platform engineers.
- Raise execution standards by standardizing workflows, improving observability, and embedding operational excellence.
- Hire, coach, and retain outstanding engineers, fostering growth and ownership.
Required profile
- Experience managing high‑performing platform engineering teams.
- Skilled at project planning, tracking, and creating team roadmaps.
- Proven track record of improving developer experience, deployment reliability, and engineering effectiveness.
- Strong communication skills across technical and product stakeholders.
