Network Assurance Engineer - Day Shift (Maternity Leave)

About the role

Causeway Connect is recruiting a Network Assurance Engineer for the day shift, covering maternity leave, in Skopje. The role sits within the Technology and Security Operations Centre (TSOC), part of the Technical Operations function of PXC (a member of the TalkTalk Group), which keeps customers' services and the network running securely and reliably. Reporting to one of four TSOC Shift Managers, you will join a team of network and security engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, respond to and resolve voice and data service issues across Layer 2 and Layer 3 products such as copper, fibre and Ethernet circuits, managed CPEs and firewalls, escalating to subject matter experts where needed
• Analyse faults and implement changes to restore and improve services for customers and colleagues, leading and supporting other engineers and incident management teams
• Record faults and incidents in detail, keeping stakeholders informed and driving suppliers and internal resolver groups back to service within agreed SLAs
• Handle and assign incoming security service requests and queries on behalf of the wider security team
• Carry out root cause analysis after incidents, champion service improvements and contribute to daily incident calls and metric reports
• Support playbooks and knowledge transfer, attend team and company updates, and adhere to information security policies
• Access and change live equipment and security applications, approve engineer access to data centres, and approve same-day RAD dispatches, Qube engineer visits, Comms Care services and Openreach visits within stated limits

Required profile

• Demonstrable technical knowledge of infrastructure, network and security, with fault and incident triage and response experience
• Problem-solving ability, accurate and quick work under pressure, and clear communication with stakeholders
• Desirable: relevant security or network qualification or degree, and experience in a network/security support function
