Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

RegDesk is looking for a seasoned Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to strengthen its AI‑driven Regulatory Information Management platform. You will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks that support both UI and API testing for critical healthcare compliance workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the current state of test automation and propose a target architecture.
• Build or significantly improve the UI and API automation framework.
• Automate critical user flows, 21 CFR Part 11 scenarios, and core regression suites.
• Establish coding standards, folder structures, naming conventions, and code‑review practices.
• Ensure reliable management of test data, environments, authentication, and reusable components.
• Integrate automated tests into Bitbucket Pipelines or another CI/CD solution.
• Configure Allure reporting, test result storage, and convenient failure analysis.
• Reduce test flakiness while maintaining speed, stability, and maintainability of the test suite.
• Perform and support API, contract, database, event‑driven, and basic performance testing.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in test automation.
• Proven hands‑on experience building an automation framework from scratch and maintaining it in production.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, including async/await, modules, classes, and clean‑code principles.
• Extensive experience with WebdriverIO, Mocha, and the Page Object Model.
• Experience automating UI and REST API testing and integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker.
• Understanding of parallel execution, test environment management, secrets management, quality gates, reporting, and test‑result analysis.
