Account Manager – Business Development in Macedonia

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Account Manager to drive new business in the Macedonian market for a leading IT/technology client. The role focuses on identifying prospects, building relationships with key decision‑makers and converting leads into long‑term clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities and potential clients in Macedonia.
• Develop and maintain a database of prospects, contacting decision‑makers directly.
• Organise and lead initial meetings, presenting relevant solutions to address client needs.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships, seeking cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities.
• Network at industry events, conferences and professional associations.
• Monitor market trends, new projects and investments relevant to the portfolio.
• Maintain accurate records of leads and pipeline status in the CRM system.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Sales, Management, IT or related field (advantageous).
• 3‑5 years of B2B sales, business development or account management experience.
• Proven track record in acquiring new clients.
• Strong knowledge of the Macedonian market and an existing network of contacts in medium‑size and large companies.
• Excellent command of English.
