Associate IT Operation and Support Engineer

About the role

Avenga is seeking an Associate IT Operation and Support Engineer to monitor system operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous service availability. The role requires 24/7 support and offers shift‑based bonuses.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system operations and troubleshoot problems.
• Analyze root causes of operational malfunctions and provide resolutions.
• Resolve operational problems within defined schedules and service‑level agreements.
• Drive incident resolution and process improvements to minimise impact on production.
• Develop support plans to prioritise and resolve issues.
• Address customer issues promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with business partners, vendors and technical groups for escalations.
• Develop preventive measures and document issue‑resolution procedures.

Required profile

• Experience as an operations or support engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux/UNIX system administration.
• Medium to strong grasp of relational databases and SQL.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in multi‑user environments.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• SQL and relational database management.
• Scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Batch, SQL).
• LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP, Firewall/VLAN configuration.
• NAT, hardware‑based load balancing, encryption and network security best practices.
• Monitoring tools.
• Internet protocols and services (HTTP, FTP, SCP, DNS).
