Electrical Supervisor – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

Alcazar Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day electrical construction activities on renewable energy projects in North Macedonia. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety regulations and project quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation and testing of MV cable systems, including laying, joints, terminations, earthing and interfaces with wind turbine generators.
• Oversee electrical works at substations, covering primary/secondary equipment, cable routing, control and protection systems, and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate daily electrical interfaces with the Site Construction Manager, engineers, civil supervisor, commissioning manager, Owner’s Engineer and contractors.
• Monitor contractor manpower, productivity and progress, escalating material, design or interface issues as needed.
• Perform site inspections, verify inspection requests, manage NCRs, punch‑list items and technical queries.
• Witness and document electrical testing such as cable testing, insulation resistance, continuity, earthing measurements and functional tests.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of site construction experience in renewable energy, power generation, substations, transmission or large industrial projects.
• Experience with MV cable systems; HV substations, transmission lines and wind‑farm grid connection is highly desirable.
• Strong English communication skills; knowledge of Macedonian is an advantage.

Required skills

• MV cable system installation and testing.
• Interpretation of single‑line diagrams, electrical drawings and cable schedules.
• Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), NCR management and punch‑list closure.
• Safe systems of work for electrical activities – permits to work, isolations, LOTO.
• Cable testing, earthing measurements, functional checks and SAT support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document‑control or construction‑management systems.
