Mechanical Maintenance & Utilities Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance & Utilities Supervisor for our fruit juice concentrate plant in North Macedonia. The role ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of production facilities, utility systems, and the overall mechanical infrastructure, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain reliable operation of all mechanical equipment in production and utility areas, including pumps, presses, evaporators, heat exchangers, tanks, valves, piping, and conveyors.
• Oversee safe operation of steam boilers, condensate, chilling units (ammonia/freon), compressed air, water treatment, and other utility equipment.
• Develop and execute planned maintenance programs via ERP and maintenance management systems.
• Implement predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
• Roll out TPM and autonomous maintenance practices, tracking related indicators.
• Manage ERP Maintenance module data, including equipment trees, maintenance plans, spare parts, work orders, and records.
• Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement permanent solutions.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, cost, availability) and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead mechanical and utilities scope of new facility, line, equipment, and capacity expansion projects from planning to commissioning.
• Prepare technical specifications, evaluate suppliers, manage equipment selection, and supervise FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Identify and execute cost‑saving projects targeting energy, maintenance, labor, and consumables.
• Organize technical warehouse, define critical spares, and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support budgeting for maintenance and investment, tracking CAPEX and OPEX.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, occupational health & safety standards, and permit‑to‑work procedures.
