Mechanical Service Technician

About the role

Gerresheimer is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery, infrastructure, and service processes within its production site. The role is essential for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting uninterrupted production and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and secure equipment and infrastructure, addressing defects and incidents on‑site and at customer locations.
• Perform regular and corrective maintenance on Gerresheimer equipment, customer machinery, and site infrastructure according to internal standards and procedures.
• Execute additional service tasks outside the core responsibility area when required.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness within the assigned area.
• Continuously improve maintenance and service processes, handling service orders promptly.
• Participate in risk assessments related to the area of responsibility.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability, proper storage, and accurate documentation.
• Comply with all health, safety, and legal regulations, and implement Gerresheimer standards such as 5S and VMV.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance departments.
• Support relocation and equipment transfer projects on site.

Required profile

• Relevant technical education or vocational training in mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in industrial machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work autonomously and follow documented procedures.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with spare‑part management and inventory control.
