Process Engineer (Junior) - Syringes, Vials and Cartridges

About the role

Gerresheimer is looking for a Process Engineer in its Technological Industrial Development Zone in Skopje, North Macedonia. The role supports process optimization and improvement in the production of syringes, vials and cartridges, working closely with senior engineers, production departments and other functions. It is described as a junior position suitable for starting a career in a highly regulated production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze process rejects, machine downtimes and product defects, help identify root causes and propose improvements
• Take part in implementing process optimization measures and in tests aimed at cycle time reduction, function improvement and quality optimization
• Support equipment sampling, testing and data collection, and assist in commissioning and qualification of equipment and processes
• Help prepare FMEA, test plans, reports and technical documentation, and take part in change control procedures
• Support investment and industrialization projects, product development and process validation
• Prepare technical documents such as work instructions, technical notes and training materials
• Support complaint handling, root cause analysis and requalification of production facilities
• Provide technical support to production teams and take part in continuous improvement initiatives (CIP, scrap reduction)

Required profile

• Technical university degree (Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology or similar)
• First experience through an internship or 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
• Good knowledge of English (at least B2)
• Team-oriented, motivated to learn and develop, with a structured and conscientious way of working

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and process optimization
• Understanding of technical and production systems
• Interest in a GMP environment (pharma, medical devices, glass industry is an advantage)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; basic knowledge of statistics or Six Sigma is a plus
• Good IT skills and digital affinity
