QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Join Hornetsecurity Group as a QA Automation Engineer and own quality across the entire product lifecycle. You will design, execute, and maintain test plans and automated suites for web applications and APIs, ensuring fast feedback and stable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, edge‑case, and regression scenarios.
• Perform high‑value manual and exploratory testing for complex features.
• Create, maintain, and scale automated test suites using modern frameworks.
• Monitor automated test results within the CI/CD pipeline and manage test data, environments, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineers to refine user stories and improve testability.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
• Strong coding skills with clean, maintainable TypeScript (or similar) code.
• Deep understanding of API testing, API mocking, and Docker‑based test environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into effective test scenarios and challenge product decisions.
