Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform & Automation

About the role

Join Avenga’s DevOps core platform team in the telecom domain to drive a major platform transformation. You will design, build, and automate the foundational cloud infrastructure that enables developers to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable software.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain core platform services supporting delivery teams across the organization.
• Develop backend services and automation tooling using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Design and implement GitOps‑driven environment provisioning with CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Operate and evolve an AWS‑based, EKS‑powered cloud platform using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Integrate platform capabilities with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Netcracker, and Storyblok.
• Implement secure‑by‑default patterns, including secrets management, identity, networking, and compliance controls.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve platform reliability, monitoring, and observability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Node.js/NestJS.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating Kubernetes platforms (EKS preferred).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform) and GitOps ecosystems.
• Extensive experience running workloads on AWS at scale.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and solid understanding of algorithms, distributed systems, and system design.
