Senior Front-End Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Front‑End Software Engineer to join Deltatre’s Engineering & Technology team. The role works on both Digital and OTT Solutions platforms, delivering web and mobile experiences for leading media brands. You will own features end‑to‑end while helping shape the team’s technical practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high‑quality front‑end experiences for web, mobile and connected‑TV applications.
• Lead solution and feature design, produce technical proposals and drive them to delivery.
• Mentor mid‑level and junior developers through code reviews, pairing and day‑to‑day guidance.
• Contribute to and evolve the shared component library and design system with a focus on consistency, accessibility and maintainability.
• Set and uphold performance standards by profiling, measuring and improving rendering, load times and analytics.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers, QA and product teams to define scalable solutions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and front‑end tooling to enhance build reliability and developer experience.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver who takes ownership of work and drives quality.
• Comfortable working in a cross‑functional, hybrid environment (minimum one day per week onsite in Skopje).
• Experience mentoring less experienced developers and influencing technical decisions.
• Strong focus on performance, accessibility and long‑term maintainability.

Required skills

• Deep proficiency with React for cross‑platform delivery.
• Expertise in HTML and CSS/SCSS, including responsive and adaptive layouts, flexbox and grid.
• Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
• Track record shipping applications to web, mobile (iOS/Android) and/or connected TV.
• Knowledge of front‑end performance profiling and optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and front‑end tooling.
• Understanding of accessibility best practices.
