Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

The Senior QA Automation Engineer leads the delivery team’s testing strategy, ensuring high‑quality releases while staying hands‑on across manual and automated testing activities. The role balances technical expertise with mentorship, advocating for the end‑user and driving continuous improvement in deployment speed and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce testing practices, tools, and metrics across the team.
• Mentor and grow junior QA members, serving as the primary quality liaison for stakeholders.
• Steer and validate automation efforts implemented by developers.
• Advocate for service consumers in all quality‑related discussions.
• Reduce cycle time, failed deployments, and mean‑time‑to‑recovery through proactive quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst, covering both manual and automation testing.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team‑player mindset with outcome‑orientation and customer focus.

Required skills

• Experience with modern JavaScript UI testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright or TestCafe.
• API testing proficiency.
• Performance testing knowledge (e.g., JMeter, k6, NetSparker) – a plus.
• Selenium experience – a plus.
