Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Join Hornetsecurity Group as a Senior QA Automation Engineer and own quality across the entire product lifecycle. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs while also performing high‑value manual testing where automation is not yet feasible.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional requirements, edge cases, and regression paths.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing for complex features and critical user journeys.
• Create, maintain, and scale automated test suites using modern frameworks.
• Monitor automated test results within the delivery pipeline to ensure stable releases.
• Manage test data, environments, and dependencies with containerization and mocking techniques.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineers to refine testable user stories and improve testability.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and maintaining at least one modern automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
• Strong coding skills with clean, maintainable TypeScript code.
• Deep understanding of API testing and API mocking.
• Solid knowledge of Docker and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to translate business needs into effective test scenarios and challenge product and engineering decisions.
