Social Worker – Advisor (Strumica)

About the role

SOS Children’s Village North Macedonia is seeking a motivated Social Worker/Advisor to join its "Right to Family II" project in Strumica. The role involves direct work with families at risk, helping them identify resources and improve the future for their children.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and assess socio‑economic status, prepare social histories and eco‑maps for beneficiary families.
• Assist families in accessing rights and services, providing guidance on social protection legislation.
• Deliver individual and group counseling on parenting competencies, positive parenting, communication skills, and family functioning.
• Plan and implement joint activities for parents and children.
• Coordinate with local social work centers, institutions, and NGOs.

Required profile

• Higher education in Social Work.
• Familiarity with Macedonian social protection and family law.
• Experience designing and delivering training sessions.
• Advanced knowledge of children’s rights.
• Proficiency in English and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
