Supplier Quality Assurance

About the role

Magna is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance professional to support its Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure new automotive programs meet stringent quality standards and delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers on APQP processes and cross‑functional teams to meet customer launch deadlines.
• Conduct supplier audits, identify improvement opportunities, and follow up on ISO/IATF‑16949 compliance.
• Approve supplier PPAP/PPF submissions and run‑at‑rates.
• Evaluate and resolve supplier quality issues using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Track supplier performance, manage corrective action requests, and ensure timely closure.
• Maintain master data in the ERP system for new and serial projects.
• Monitor key performance indicators, scrap rates, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely IMDS submissions and participate in technical change projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or business economics or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an automotive environment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and operate with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• APQP, PPAP/PPF, IATF‑16949, VDA 6.3 auditing.
• MSA Gauge Control, SPC, 8D/PPS, Ishikawa, 5 Why analysis.
• IMDS submission management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and precision measurement tools.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
