Team Lead - Platform Infrastructure & SRE

About the role

Deltatre is looking for a Team Lead to own the reliability, scalability and operability of its platform infrastructure and SRE function. The role is hybrid, requiring at least one day per week on‑site in Skopje, and combines hands‑on engineering with people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical direction for platform and SRE initiatives, balancing reliability, cost and delivery speed.
• Participate in design reviews, architecture decisions and contribute to high‑leverage code.
• Own capacity planning, cost visibility and cloud spend across AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Set and track operational health metrics (SLOs, error budgets, MTTR) for owned services.
• Lead incident response, post‑mortems and drive reliability improvements.
• Manage and develop a team of 5‑8 engineers through 1:1s, performance feedback and hiring.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate infrastructure needs into a prioritized roadmap.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform or SRE engineering with production ownership at scale.
• At least 1 year of formal people‑management or strong tech‑lead experience.
• Deep hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and one major public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Working knowledge of a second cloud provider.
• Proven track record of leading incident response and reliability improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.
