Transport Analyst

About the role

Lear is seeking a Transport Analyst to manage freight procurement activities across its regional operations. The role focuses on planning, vendor management, and continuous improvement to ensure cost‑effective and reliable transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute RFQs, develop sourcing proposals, and award routes to carriers.
• Monitor carrier performance, conduct reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with the Supply Chain Design team.
• Negotiate contracts, maintain rates in systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Collaborate with plants, central teams, and logistics management to optimize supply strategies and resolve operational escalations.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose new concepts to improve material flow.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field (logistics preferred).
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years experience in logistics, control‑tower environments or forwarder operations, handling road, air, ocean, and rail shipments.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Transport Management Systems (TMS) proficiency.
• Microsoft Excel and Outlook expertise.
