Intern – Support UNCT on Youth Engagement, Volunteerism & Advocacy

About the role

This internship is based in the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Skopje. The Intern will assist the RCO in promoting youth engagement, volunteerism and advocacy, with a focus on the Future Makers Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination and implementation of the Future Makers Programme, including communication with participants, mentors, partners and stakeholders.
• Organise meetings, prepare minutes, develop presentation slides and maintain documentation.
• Assist in planning and delivering youth engagement activities, workshops, consultations, campaigns and events.
• Contribute to the design and rollout of volunteerism initiatives involving young people.
• Help mobilise youth participation in UN campaigns, events and sustainable development initiatives.
• Maintain regular communication with youth participants and partners, facilitating follow‑up actions.
• Support outreach to youth organisations, networks, educational institutions and civil‑society partners.
• Assist advocacy efforts related to youth participation and volunteerism.

Required profile

• Strong interest in youth engagement, volunteerism and the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Enthusiasm for supporting programme coordination and event planning.
