Senior Azure Data Engineer

About the role

Proxify is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to join its fast‑growing network of remote developers. The ideal candidate is growth‑oriented, passionate about building data solutions, and comfortable working in the CET time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database and related Azure services.
• Implement complex data models, DAX measures and calculated columns for reporting.
• Manage and optimise ETL workflows to ensure data quality, consistency and high performance.
• Design and maintain data warehouses and dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas).
• Collaborate with analysts, developers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Integrate data from SQL databases, cloud storage, APIs and flat files while enforcing data governance, accuracy and security.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, including complex queries, performance tuning and stored procedures.
• Strong understanding of Azure technologies such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Factory.
• Proven experience in ETL development, data integration and pipeline orchestration.
• Deep knowledge of data modelling principles and data‑warehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with data‑governance, data‑quality and data‑security best practices.
• Located within the CET timezone (±3 hours).
