Carrier Sales Representative

About the role

HMD Transport, an asset‑backed freight brokerage based in Chicago, is expanding its Skopje office and seeks a motivated Carrier Sales Representative. You will build and manage carrier relationships, source capacity, negotiate rates and support freight movement across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Source and book freight with carrier companies while negotiating competitive market rates.
• Collaborate with Customer Sales Representatives to provide accurate and competitive pricing.
• Monitor market trends, seasonality and capacity conditions.
• Generate leads, conduct cold calls and referrals to grow a strong carrier network.
• Develop and maintain long‑term strategic carrier and broker relationships.
• Ensure freight documentation is completed and approved prior to shipment.
• Support shipment tracking alongside operations team members.
• Work cross‑departmentally to ensure high‑quality customer service and operational execution.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience in the U.S. trucking industry as a broker or dispatcher.
• Strong understanding of U.S. geography, transportation networks and market dynamics.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to multitask under pressure.
• Highly organized, motivated and solution‑oriented.
