Controller – Finance & Controlling

About the role

As a Controller within Magna's Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting group, you will support financial planning, reporting and cost control for automotive technology projects. You will work closely with accounting, budgeting and project teams to ensure accurate financial information and profitability analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform BS and P&L variance analysis and compare results with budget.
• Support budget planning and forecasting for corporate reporting.
• Assist month‑end accounting activities and internal/external reporting, including SOX testing.
• Monitor key financial/operational figures and alert management to deviations.
• Conduct cost controlling, margin analysis and project profitability follow‑up.
• Analyze working capital, calculate provisions and accruals.
• Prepare quote capital and profitability analyses for new business opportunities.

Required profile

• BSc in Economics, Business or Accounting.
• Experience in controlling or audit environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficient written and verbal English.
