Customer Solutions Engineer (English / German B2)

About the role

A German startup building a resource lifecycle management platform (procurement, asset management and IT operations on one integrated platform) is looking for a Customer Solutions Engineer to join its small Customer Success team. You will be the point of contact for customers, solving product questions, understanding their processes and building integrations on the platform's workflow engine. The role is 100% remote within European time zones (CET/CEST).

Key responsibilities

• Own customer questions and issues end to end: analyse, reproduce, solve or hand over cleanly to the platform team, then close the loop with the customer.
• Run short discovery sessions with IT, procurement and HR teams to understand their needs and translate them into how the platform can help.
• Build integrations: implement connectors and workflows (REST APIs, webhooks, authentication) linking the platform to ERP, HR, identity and ITSM systems.
• Help customers stay within product guardrails: suggest the standard approach first, push back on one-off custom work and feed recurring needs back to Product.
• Onboard and enable new Enterprise customers through setup and go-live, and turn repeated questions into documentation, templates and reusable workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as technical support, customer success, solutions engineering, implementation or IT consulting in a SaaS or ITSM/ITAM environment.
• A genuine service mindset: likes talking to customers, takes ownership until the problem is solved.
• Process thinking: understands business processes such as onboarding, procurement, asset lifecycle and service management.
• Very good English and at least good working German (B2) for customer conversations in the DACH region.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with workflow/automation tools (n8n, Power Automate, Make, Zapier, Camunda or similar) and REST APIs, JSON and common auth methods (OAuth2, API keys).
• Basic scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
• Deliberate use of AI tools to work faster and smarter.
