About the role

The Institute for European Policy in Skopje is seeking a Communications and Public Relations Officer to lead its communication activities. The role is full‑time and offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic, donor‑funded environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the communication and advocacy strategy in collaboration with senior management.
• Identify indicators to measure the effectiveness of all communication actions.
• Monitor public policy developments at national and regional levels relevant to the institute’s thematic areas.
• Coordinate communication outputs for EU‑funded and international donor projects, ensuring donor visibility and branding requirements.
• Manage communications for regional projects where the institute acts as lead partner, aligning outputs across multiple countries.
• Map stakeholders and maintain relationships with policy makers, civil society and international partners.
• Develop and execute a social‑media strategy aligned with the overall communication plan.
• Organise events, conferences and media briefings, including hybrid and online formats.
• Maintain and regularly update the institute’s website and project sites.
• Prepare press releases, briefs, newsletters, annual reports and donor communication packages.
• Track media coverage and analyse communication metrics to inform future strategies.

Required profile

• Completed postgraduate studies in Communications, Political Science or a related field, or equivalent professional training.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in communications, advocacy or a similar role, preferably in an international or donor‑funded context.
• Strong understanding of public policy processes in North Macedonia and the wider region.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
