Senior Email Marketing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to lead retention and lifecycle strategies for high‑growth DTC brands. This remote, full‑time position focuses on designing high‑converting email and SMS campaigns, building sophisticated automation flows, and driving data‑backed improvements to boost Customer Lifetime Value.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage monthly email and SMS campaign calendars aligned with seasonal trends, product launches, and evergreen goals.
• Write direct‑response copy for campaigns and lifecycle flows such as Welcome, Abandonment, Post‑Purchase, Winback, and VIP.
• Audit and enhance automated systems to improve segmentation, offer strategy, and customer journey mapping.
• Analyze performance data, identify trends, and translate metrics into actionable insights for clients.
• Lead strategy calls, present recommendations, and identify upsell opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers, builders, and account managers to ensure precise execution of strategic plans.
• Leverage AI tools and internal SOPs to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining strategic judgment.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing within eCommerce/DTC, preferably agency experience.
• Proven ability to write compelling direct‑response copy across multiple brand voices.
• Strong analytical mindset with deep understanding of retention KPIs such as attributed revenue, CTR, AOV, repeat purchase rates, list health, and deliverability.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting data‑driven strategies to founders and marketing leads.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented approach to managing multiple accounts and deadlines with minimal oversight.

Required skills

• Advanced hands‑on experience with Klaviyo (or similar platforms).
• Solid understanding of the Shopify ecosystem.
• Familiarity with SMS platforms such as Attentive or Postscript.
• Experience using AI‑enabled workflows and tools.
