Linux System Administrator - 24/7 Hosting Support

About the role

This remote Linux System Administrator provides 24/7 hosting and infrastructure support for Magento eCommerce environments, ensuring high availability, security, performance and operational stability. The role covers incident response, infrastructure management and scaling across single-server, multi-server and auto-scaling setups.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure using Zabbix and AWS CloudWatch.
• Handle 24/7 incidents and document root cause analysis (RCA).
• Manage Debian Linux, NGINX, PHP, Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch and AWS services (EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, Route53, Auto Scaling).
• Ensure security through firewall, access control and SSL management.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery, including automated backups, verification and restore testing.
• Optimize infrastructure performance and scale or provision servers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience managing infrastructure for eCommerce environments.
• Experience with web hosting environments.
• Good communication skills.
