Maintenance Mechanical Engineer – Tool Shop

About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer in the Tool Shop, you will ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of tools, molds, and equipment to support uninterrupted production. You will work closely with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for tooling and equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot molds, tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and modifications of production tools and molds.
• Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Support Kaizen initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with tooling or plastics processing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance principles.
• Troubleshooting mechanical equipment and production tooling.
• Understanding of machining processes, molds, dies, and precision components.
• Experience with maintenance planning systems (e.g., SAP).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
