MuleSoft Architect

About the role

We are partnering with a major French banking group to build a new integration team in Bulgaria and North Macedonia. The role is for a MuleSoft Architect who will design and lead enterprise‑scale integration solutions on the Anypoint Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure integration architectures using API‑led connectivity (System, Process, Experience layers).
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, solution blueprints and architecture documentation.
• Lead API design with RAML or OpenAPI and manage the full API lifecycle through Anypoint Exchange and API Manager.
• Define security approaches for APIs (OAuth 2.0, TLS/mTLS, client‑ID enforcement) and enforce integration standards.
• Mentor MuleSoft developers, conduct code reviews and technical coaching sessions.
• Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines for Mule applications (Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and automate testing with MUnit.
• Establish monitoring, logging and alerting using Anypoint Monitoring and external tools.
• Act as technical point of contact for clients, run workshops and estimate effort for new initiatives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development or enterprise integration experience, including at least 3 years as a MuleSoft architect or technical lead.
• Proven track record designing API‑led architectures at enterprise scale and solid knowledge of integration patterns.

Required skills

• Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.0, Anypoint Platform components.
• API design with RAML or OpenAPI, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange.
• Security protocols: OAuth 2.0, TLS/mTLS, API policies.
• Messaging systems: Anypoint MQ, JMS, Kafka.
• Integration with Salesforce, SAP, databases, REST and SOAP services.
• CI/CD tools: Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Git, DevOps practices.
• Automated testing with MUnit and monitoring with Anypoint Monitoring.
