Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Android Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end delivery of user‑facing features, translating designs into high‑quality production code and ensuring optimal performance across a wide range of Android devices, tablets and connected TVs. The role is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in our Skopje office, and you will collaborate with Android engineers across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new Android features using Kotlin and Java.
• Build reusable components and libraries for cross‑platform use.
• Translate designs and wireframes into production‑ready code.
• Optimize performance for mobiles, tablets and connected TVs.
• Analyse complex requirements, flag technical challenges early, and simplify implementations.
• Coordinate Android engineering efforts across regions and contribute to architectural standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Android Engineer.
• Deep proficiency in Kotlin and solid command of Java.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK.
• Strong background in reactive programming with RxJava.
• Proven unit‑testing practice using JUnit and Mockito.
• Good understanding of mobile architectural patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Familiarity with Google Play Services, Play Store submission, and mobile debugging/optimisation techniques.
• Comfortable with Git, build automation and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluent written and spoken English and experience working in a global team.
