Software Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the TRIOS software project team in Skopje. The role reports to the Head of Scanning Applications and works closely with product management, architecture, QA and other engineering leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of 11 software engineers and technical specialists, fostering a culture of trust, accountability and continuous learning.
• Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions and create individual development plans.
• Plan and manage resource capacity, align team capabilities with product needs and improve engineering processes.
• Support planning and execution of software development initiatives, monitor delivery commitments, risks and dependencies.
• Participate in technical discussions, technology evaluations and collaborate with architects to guide long‑term technical direction.
• Remove organisational obstacles, promote employee engagement, wellbeing and retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 8 years of software development experience and 5 years of people‑management experience.
• Proven track record of building and developing engineering teams, including recruitment, coaching and succession planning.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and ability to engage in technical discussions.
• Professional proficiency in English.
