DevOps Engineer - Cloud Migration & CI/CD

About the role

A company operating a mission-critical data pipeline used by major US banks is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to modernize its cloud infrastructure and take full architectural ownership of its deployment ecosystem. The role is fully remote, with a required daily core overlap from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Belgrade time.

Key responsibilities

• Run the architectural overhaul and hands-on migration of legacy pipelines from TeamCity to modern workflows using AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions.
• Architect and execute migrations from AWS ECS to AWS EKS, optimizing performance, scalability and cost.
• Design, implement and maintain internal "Terraform as a Service" workflows and reusable modules for self-service infrastructure.
• Design, configure and maintain deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary, ensuring zero-downtime releases.
• Work with software engineering and data teams to optimize deployment workflows and support high-throughput data pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and architecting infrastructure on AWS.
• Deep expertise with AWS EKS in production, including migrating workloads from AWS ECS to EKS.
• Daily working overlap between 4 PM and 7 PM Belgrade time.

Required skills

• AWS (EKS, ECS, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch)
• Terraform, with modular infrastructure and self-service platform design
• CI/CD pipelines built with GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline
• Nice to have: GitOps (ArgoCD), Python, Go or Bash scripting, and familiarity with financial sector security and compliance standards

What we offer

• Full ownership of the tech stack, with the mandate to retire legacy tooling and shape the long-term DevOps roadmap.
• Direct technical influence over a platform powering core operations for top-tier US financial institutions.
• Fully remote setup with predictable overlap hours.
