IT Helpdesk Specialist – German Language

About the role

We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Specialist who is fluent in German and English to provide first‑ and second‑level support for our global clients. You will work within Avenga’s technology services team, handling Windows and Linux environments, and ensuring smooth operation of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 12/5 helpdesk support, monitoring systems and troubleshooting incidents.
• Analyse root causes of Level 1 and Level 2 issues and deliver resolutions within SLA timelines.
• Drive incident resolution, process improvements and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with business partners, vendors and technical groups for escalations.
• Document issue resolution procedures and develop support plans.

Required profile

• Advanced written and verbal proficiency in German and English.
• Proven experience as a Helpdesk or support specialist.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in multi‑user Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet shifting deadlines and work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux system support and maintenance.
• Active Directory and Exchange basics.
• LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP, firewall/VLAN configuration, NAT, hardware load balancing, encryption and network security best practices.
• Internet protocols and services (HTTP, FTP, SCP, DNS).
• Experience with monitoring tools.
