PMO – R&D Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, data‑driven PMO to lead R&D Operations for our offshore division. Partnering directly with the R&D leadership team, you will shape the way the entire department works, from tooling architecture to high‑level visibility across engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define, track and analyse R&D KPIs such as velocity, capacity, cycle time and predictability, delivering actionable dashboards for senior leadership.
• Own Jira architecture – design workflows, board configurations, cross‑team templates and portfolio boards (Advanced Roadmaps) and automate reporting.
• Collaborate with R&D and product leaders to maintain the high‑level roadmap and ensure team backlogs align with strategic milestones.
• Evaluate and refine agile processes across multiple teams, establishing Definition of Ready and Definition of Done standards.
• Coordinate dependencies, risks and alignment across geographically dispersed teams, acting as the central point of contact for multi‑team initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a PMO, R&D Operations or Technical Program Management role within software development.
• Proven ability to influence engineering managers and product leads without direct authority.
• Experience working with global, multi‑location teams, especially in Europe.

Required skills

• Jira administration (Jira Software, Jira Product Discovery, Advanced Roadmaps).
• Dashboard and reporting tools: EazyBI, Tableau, PowerBI.
• Strong data literacy and KPI definition.
• Deep understanding of scaling Agile methodologies across multiple teams.
• Portfolio‑level project and roadmap management.
