Rigging Engineer – North Macedonia

About the role

The Rigging Engineer will support the North Macedonia Motorway Project, a key infrastructure programme linking the Pan‑European Corridors 8 and 10. Working on‑site in Gostivar, you will ensure that all rigging and lifting activities are planned, reviewed and executed safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, medium‑risk and critical‑risk lift plans, including data sheets, drawings and formal calculations.
• Review and approve subcontractor lifting equipment and operational procedures.
• Monitor rigging operations for compliance with approved plans, applicable codes, standard work processes and Bechtel operating procedures.
• Maintain project rigging and lifting equipment certifications and inspections in the project registry.
• Provide technical direction to construction engineers, site supervisors and contractors regarding rigging requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rigging and lift planning for large‑scale infrastructure or motorway projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior rigging personnel.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
