Environmental, Safety & Health Specialist – North Macedonia Motorway Project

About the role

Bechtel is seeking an Environmental, Safety and Health Specialist to support the North Macedonia Motorway Project. The specialist will integrate health and safety requirements throughout planning, permitting, design and construction phases of the motorway development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the integration of specialized health and safety requirements into project planning, permitting, design and construction.
• Interpret specialized requirements and evaluate relevant scientific principles.
• Develop scopes of work, safety plans and methodologies to meet project objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other Safety Services Specialists and Engineers.
• May serve as Safety Lead, Safety Coordinator or Safety Inspector as assigned.
• Report to the Manager of Safety Services, Safety Services Manager, Principal Safety Specialist/Engineer or designated senior safety specialist.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating health and safety aspects of large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret specialized safety requirements and apply scientific principles.
• Capability to develop detailed safety scopes, plans and methodologies.
• Willingness to provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary safety teams.
