Risk, Payments & Fraud Analyst

About the role

The Risk, Payments & Fraud Analyst monitors customer activity, identifies potential fraud and risk, supports KYC and EDD processes, and ensures smooth payment operations across multiple payment providers. You will investigate suspicious activity, manage affected accounts, and collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Support, Compliance, and external payment providers.

Key responsibilities

• Review KYC and EDD documentation, assess customer risk profiles, and flag potential risk indicators.
• Monitor transactions for unusual or suspicious patterns and escalate AML, fraud, or compliance concerns.
• Investigate fraudulent activity using internal monitoring tools, document findings, and apply appropriate account restrictions.
• Process customer withdrawals, monitor deposits, and resolve failed, pending, or delayed transactions with payment service providers.
• Perform risk assessments on new and existing customers, identify anomalies, and contribute to improving fraud and risk processes.
• Manage cases related to fraud, payment issues, or risk controls, maintaining accurate records and meeting timelines.
• Provide internal support to Operations and Customer Support on fraud, risk, KYC, and payment queries.

Required skills

• Experience with KYC and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes.
• Familiarity with AML, fraud detection, and risk assessment methodologies.
