Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Johnson Matthey is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join its technology team in Skopje. You will help ensure the quality of enterprise applications that support the company’s mission to reduce emissions and create a sustainable future.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver testing strategies for a diverse portfolio of applications, platforms, and systems.
• Lead manual, exploratory, and automated testing activities across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive automation and continuous testing practices to improve test coverage and reduce release risk.
• Coach and support other quality engineers, promoting best practices.
• Shape and improve quality engineering standards, testing practices, automation frameworks, and tooling.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in senior quality assurance, testing, or quality engineering roles within complex delivery environments.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools or frameworks and a solid understanding of automation principles.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing techniques.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high‑quality results across multiple projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and improve quality outcomes.
