Integrity and anti-corruption specialist

About the role

The Integrity and Anti‑Corruption Specialist will support North Macedonia’s EU accession process by providing expert technical advice and coordination to government ministries and anti‑corruption bodies. Working under the Project Manager, the role ensures that anti‑corruption, integrity, transparency and conflict‑of‑interest considerations are embedded across negotiation chapters and reform programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to the Government and national coordination structures on anti‑corruption and integrity matters linked to EU negotiation chapters.
• Facilitate structured communication and coordination among line ministries, anti‑corruption agencies, rule‑of‑law institutions, oversight bodies, civil society, media and the private sector.
• Participate in the preparation, conduct and follow‑up of technical coordination meetings, workshops and stakeholder dialogues.
• Consolidate institutional inputs on anti‑corruption track records, integrity, transparency, accountability and conflict‑of‑interest prevention.
• Support the mainstreaming of anti‑corruption and integrity considerations into negotiation chapters, screening processes, road‑maps, action plans and reform documents.
• Provide evidence‑based analysis, technical inputs and capacity‑building activities to strengthen the quality and coherence of integrity safeguards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in anti‑corruption policy, governance reform or EU accession processes.
• Strong understanding of integrity frameworks, conflict‑of‑interest prevention and transparency standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate across multiple public‑sector institutions and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and facilitation skills.
