National Consultant for EVAC Second Global Ministerial Conference Preparations

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a national consultant to provide short‑term technical support for the preparation of North Macedonia’s participation in the Second Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) scheduled for November 2026 in Manila. The consultant will work closely with UNICEF, national institutions, WHO and other partners to ensure the country’s contribution is evidence‑informed, nationally owned and aligned with strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Review implementation status of pledges from the previous Global Ministerial Conference, identifying achievements, gaps and lessons learned.
• Compile and analyse national evidence, administrative data and survey results on violence against children to inform priority‑setting.
• Develop feasible, measurable and time‑bound pledge options that align with national child protection, health, education, justice and social welfare strategies.
• Prepare presentation inputs, speeches, workshop materials and related products to support informed discussion.
• Facilitate technical discussions during the national preparatory workshop and provide ongoing technical support before, during and after the event.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in child protection, violence prevention or related policy analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies, UN bodies and civil‑society partners.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
