Business Development Senior Associate

About the role

JA Europe is seeking a proactive Business Development Senior Associate to support its sales, fundraising and partnership initiatives across Europe. You will help generate revenue for a network of 40+ JA organisations by identifying, qualifying and converting new corporate, foundation and donor opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Research and build targeted prospect lists aligned with JA Europe’s mission and revenue goals.
• Analyse prospect priorities, funding interests and decision‑making structures to qualify opportunities.
• Prepare tailored outreach materials, briefing notes and follow‑up actions to move prospects through the pipeline.
• Develop compelling proposals, concept notes, pitch decks and sponsorship materials, including for the Gen‑E entrepreneurship festival.
• Coordinate internally with programme, communication and finance teams to gather inputs for partnership proposals.
• Maintain disciplined tracking systems for relationships, next steps and opportunities.

Required profile

• Motivated and mission‑driven with a sales mindset.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess prospect fit and funding potential.
• Excellent written communication skills for proposal and pitch development.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across a distributed team.

What we offer

• Annual gross salary of €23,000‑€25,000 (or equivalent as a consultant) based on experience and location.
