Direct Response Video Editor (Remote)

About the role

KittySpout, a premium DTC brand selling stainless steel cat water fountains, filters and accessories, and its new DoggySpout brand, is looking for a Direct Response Video Editor. You will edit, produce and manage several creative projects, with a heavy focus on paid ad creatives for Meta (VSLs, short and long form) and turn raw UGC into high-converting ads. The role is fully remote, requires fluent English and 3+ years of experience, and pays $1,000-$1,500 per month plus a performance bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 8 ad briefs per week, keeping volume and quality in balance
• Edit VSLs and direct-response video ads using AI-first workflows, with weekly iterations on top performers
• Apply direct-response principles (hooks, problem/solution flow, testimonials, CTAs) and review scripts
• Create ad variations and iterate on winning ads; collaborate with the creative strategy team
• Analyse prior video metrics to raise views and conversions, and troubleshoot underperforming campaigns
• Keep up with social media and UGC trends so ads feel native and engaging
• Communicate proactively with the founders and executive team

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience editing paid ads for DTC brands, with proven Meta/Facebook ad experience
• Comfortable producing 8 ad briefs per week
• Runs a current AI stack in production and delivers volume and quality in the same week
• Deep DTC experience, able to name brands and spend levels behind your work
• High autonomy, efficient and adaptable to changing tools and styles
• Willingness to work overtime or on weekends

Required skills

• Professional video-editing software, with a strong preference for Adobe Premiere Pro
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Working fluently with AI video and UGC tools such as Higgsfield
