Finance Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting for Cylindo across Denmark, Macedonia, the UK and the US. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure accurate records, timely month‑end close and compliance with local regulations in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly reporting packs.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, monitor aged receivables and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Manage intercompany recharges, multi‑currency accounting and foreign‑exchange adjustments.
• Ensure accurate subscription revenue, reconcile ARR/MRR and resolve billing discrepancies with Sales and Customer Success.
• Oversee VAT, payroll tax and statutory filings in all jurisdictions and manage audit processes.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, provide financial guidance to non‑finance stakeholders and contribute to cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or subscription‑based, multi‑entity international environment.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
