Sales Engineer

About the role

Penta Consulting, a technology services partner delivering professional and managed solutions across EMEA, is hiring a Sales Engineer for a leading technology business. The role supports technical sales activities, drives solution design, delivers customer presentations and demonstrations, and ensures successful adoption of technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales opportunities through technical presentations, demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
• Collaborate with Sales, Delivery and Support teams throughout the sales cycle
• Guide solution deployment, implementation and customer onboarding
• Deliver customer training and support solution adoption
• Build trusted relationships with customers and partners
• Design and recommend solutions aligned to customer requirements
• Support deal progression and contribute to upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Ensure accurate pre-sales and post-sales documentation
• Monitor customer adoption and recommend improvements to maximise value

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years' experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales or a technical customer-facing role
• Experience working across Sales, Product, Support and Delivery teams

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of technology solutions, platforms and architectures
• Experience delivering presentations, demonstrations and POCs
• Nice to have: experience with channel partners and vendors, enterprise infrastructure, cloud or cybersecurity solutions, and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
