Software Engineer (Golang)

About the role

Join Hornetsecurity Group as a Software Engineer focused on Go development and release engineering. You will own the end‑to‑end software release process, collaborate with international teams, and gradually take on core development responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and improve test coverage.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines using CloudBees, Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Own software releases from testing and validation to production deployment.
• Collaborate with development, operations and product teams to troubleshoot issues and support production systems.
• Develop new features primarily in Go while modernising legacy Perl components.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience with end‑to‑end ownership of components.
• Strong programming skills in Go (or comparable languages such as C, C++, Rust, Java) and motivation to work with Go.
• Hands‑on experience creating test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Proficiency with Linux, Git and troubleshooting distributed systems using logs and metrics.
• Willingness to adjust working hours to collaborate with US West Coast colleagues (available until at least 12:00 noon PT on designated days).
